    Based on industry-standard PC design, the DECpc 400ST supports the
    entire family of high-powered 486 processors from the 25-MHz 486SX to
    the clock-doubled 66-MHz 486DX2, the fastest 486 processor currently
    available. This range provides entry-level packages for single-user
    systems as well as full capabilities for network server and other
    multi-user applications.  And its modularity lets you reconfigure as
    your needs change. Standard Intel XpressTM architecture lets you
    upgrade the microprocessor easily through a user-installable plug-in
    card. And a scalable system architecture makes the DECpc ST family
    ready for the next generation Pentium microprocessors, growing with
    you well into the future.
    
    Power Package 
    
    To support workstation and network server applications, the DECpc ST 
    family packs room for many storage and peripheral options into a 
    compact vertical design.  It supports up to 192 MB of RAM in convenient 
    SIMM kits that let you add memory in 4,8,16 or 32 MB increments.  (The 
    4, 8, and 16-MB kits use 80-nanosecond RAM; the 32-MB kit uses 70 
    nanosecond RAM.)  Expandable external cache memory speeds up CPU 
    performance.  Four available disk bays support a wide choice of drives, 
    from 52MB IDE to 1.05 GB SCSI, as well as 3.5- and 5.25-inch floppies, 
    optical drives, and tape backup.  Six EISA expansion slots provide 
    plenty of room for high-performance options.  The DECpc ST family's 
    integrated serial, parallel, keyboard, and mouse ports leave all six 
    slots truly available for customization.

    Efficient package design puts all this capacity into a slim system
    unit that fits neatly under a desk. Its vertical configuration gives
