Detail Information for the Adapters Drivers Area All the software in this area is released to manufacturing except for those marked (Interim). Released is = Released Driver Kits (shipped with the adapters) Interim = Latest Driver Kits (not yet shipped with the adapters) All of the device drivers for a product (with the exclusion of Mac OS and UNIX formatted kits) are contained in one PKZIP file. You need to select the ZIP file for the device you are interested in and download it. Included in this note is a simple chart that will help you easily locate the correct ZIP file. Mac OS Open Transport drivers are available for the DE500, DE450, and DEFPA products. The Mac OS drivers for all supported Digital network adapters are available in separate kits. The files are in BinHex format of a StuffIt self extracting archive for Macintosh users. SCO UNIX/OpenServer drivers are generally available in both standard driver kits (in ZIP files) and as separate UNIX image files for easier installation. The UNIX driver kits have a .dd extension which indicates that the dd command should be used to transfer the image onto a UNIX formatted 3 1/2" floppy. Here is the command used to transfer the kit: dd if=fplli100.dd of=/dev/rfd0135ds18 bs=18k In this example, the image file was called fplli100.dd. This filename should be replaced with the kit image being transferred. Once transfer is complete, the custom utility should be run to install the driver. The *** in the following chart is the version of the kit file (eg. "230"). Often, both the released and the latest interim versions are available.
