 clearVISN DECNIS Configurator
Overview:
The clearVISN DECNIS Configurator is a graphical
application that provides easy configuration of Digital's
DECNIS 500/600 multiprotocol backbone routers.
Highlights:
- Standard Windows GUI interface for creating
router configurations.
- Autovalidation and default options minimizes
errors and the amount of information that a
network manager must supply.
- Context sensitive GUI displays only those options
that require configuration, minimizing the amount
of information displayed to the network manager.
- IP only configuration supported.
- Graphical DECNIS representation with 'hot-spots'
for point-and-click configuration allows the
network manager to quickly see the line-cards
that have been configured.
- GUI versions of other network tools - NCL, Event
Monitor and DTF, providing basic debugging tools
in an easy-to-use format.
- Support for remote mounted file systems for
placing configuration files onto Unix or VMS
systems, allowing a PC to be used for
configuration but keeping Unix or VMS systems as
load-hosts.
- On-line Help.
