TITLE:       Using VSD's with Network Management Station
                --------------------------------------------



   PROBLEM:     When creating VSD's always make sure the network management
                station is in the same VSD as the VNSwitch module's Host
                Services. If not you will not be able to manage the module.

   SOLUTION:    To verify a connection ping to the module from the NMS. To
                check the VSD that the VNswitch module's Host Services is
                assigned to do the following.

                Redirect to the module

                Go to menu item 5 CLI local console

                At CLI prompt "*" type "mon"

                at monitor prompt "+" type "p b"

                at BRIDGE> prompt type "vlans"

                at VSD> prompt type "list all"

                verify the TCP/IP - Host services offered on VSD?
                is in the correct VSD that the NMS is located.
