Hi,
Today I met with a unplesant thing. When I try to run a batch file like
 mt -f /dev/rmt0h rew
 vdump -0uf /dev/nrmt0h /usr/users/comp
 vdump -0uf /dev/nrmt0h /usr/users/student
 vdump -0uf /dev/nrmt0h /usr/users/academic
 vdump -0uf /dev/nrmt0h /usr/users/others
 vdump -0uf /dev/nrmt0h /usr/users/personel
 mt -f /dev/nrmt0h weof
for a while it stoped , saying
dev/fset : comp_domain#comp
type : advfs
advfs id : 0x30c9e0b4.000a7830.1
vdump: Date of last level 0 dump: the start of the epoch
vdump: Dumping directories
vdump: unable to write to device </dev/nrmt0h>; [5] I/O error
vdump: do you want to retry? y
vdump: unable to write to device </dev/nrmt0h>; [5] I/O error
vdump: do you want to retry? y
vdump: unable to write to device </dev/nrmt0h>; [5] I/O error
....
and
usr/users/staff/balci#>mt fsf 0
Error on device named /dev/nrmt0h - Place TLZ06 tape drive unit #40 ONLINE
Do you have any idea ? I tried different tape cassets, but same thing. Is
this means tape driver is out-of-order ??
Sincerely.
murat.
