I have a particular machine which will not do process accounting
properly. The accounting is automatically turned on during boot up. I have
also tried script commands to turn it on. The pacct file is created in the
/var/adm directory but the file size is zero. No matter what processes are
started the file size remains zero. The same setup is on another machine and it
works fine. Would anyone happen to have any ideas why this is so? I think that
the accounting procedures might be suspending themselves but this makes no
