Hello,
I've had no problems running Netscape 2.0 on our Alphas, but
when I recently tried to install Netscape 3.0, it gives a lot of error
messages and never starts up. The error messages are as follows:
netscape3_0: X Error of failed request: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 61 (X_ClearArea)
Resource id in failed request: 0x4400024
Serial number of failed request: 324
Current serial number in output stream: 1048
The opcodes of the errors are different, but the rest is the same.
xdpyinfo gives me the following for the default visual id:
visual:
visual id: 0x25
class: PseudoColor
depth: 8 planes
size of colormap: 256 entries
red, green, blue masks: 0x0, 0x0, 0x0
significant bits in color specification: 8 bits
Also, this is a ZLXp-L2 graphics controller (sizer -gt).
Has anybody else found this problem?
