Hi managers!
I have the following configuration:
DEC 3000/600
TLZ06 tape unit
OSF/1 V3.2 214
When I need to see a tape contents I use 'tar tv' but if I issue a
command like
tar tv > tar.log
I get an empty output file. When I redirect booth standard ouput and
standard error the only content of tar.log is
blocksize = 20
Tar does not generate the file list if the stdout/stderr is not a
terminal. This is very bad, since I need to list some tapes an wanna do it
using at jobs. Any idea?
