Hi group
We are trying to get our remote printers set up using HP jetdirects with our
new digital Alpha. The message we are receiving after we send out a print
job is "waiting for Remote2 to come up"
We have set up the directories as required and gave it our ip addresses and
even pinged the jetdirect. When we do an lpc status we get the
following
printer is on remote host Remote2 with name hpjetex1
queuing is enabled
printing is enabled
3 entries in the spool area
Thurs May 30 : waiting for Remote2 to come up.
but still no print job sent to the HP540
We have used the following commands to print
lpr -PTRANSCRIPTS .profile
lp -dTRANSCRIPTS .profile
We have no problems with getting our serial printer to print, which is
connected to the serial port or even getting a print job sent to our 1
Digital Rapid Print Server. So we know that it will print.
Any suggestions on where else to look or what to do next? Any and all
suggestions are appreciated.
