I've just upgraded a AS250 to DU4.0, but the machine refuses to boot most
of the time. Before the install, I removed a 2nd ethernnet board and
installed an fddi card and swapped the position of the graphics card
(apparently). Install proceded with no problem. After first reboot, no
graphics console. Swapped positions of graphics and fddi card. Get graphics
console but no boot (usually). I managed to boot genvmunix and reconfigure
the kernel: halt and reboot ok, next halt and reboot not ok. Booted the
machine off the CD and performed fresh install ok. halt and boot not ok.
Is this a(nother) knackered system disk (I think not) or a PCI configuration
issue (of which I (want to) know next to nothing).
Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
