As an ISP running a news service as a prime raison d'etre we subscribe to
news.software.nntp, and, as an Alpha user, we are a member of this list.
We find the Alpha list to be far more pertinent, helpful and quick and
believe that a sub-list dealing with INN for the Alpha would be focused
and useful. Porting of freely available C code to the Alpha has never
been easy and the emphasis in the nntp newsgroup is on SUNOS and LINUX.
Do others agree, and, if so, how do we go about organising it? Would the
current list maintainer be prepared to set up a sub-list? If we can help
we would be happy to do so, although somebody would have to give us a
working port of major-domo or whatever!!
