Thanks for all help solving the mysterious crashes. It seems there's a
patch (;^0 solving this particular problem. I forgot to mention that
we're running 3.2C but the bug is still present in 3.2G (and thus in all
the intermittent OS releases ?). The patch ids are:
OSF350-261 for 3.2C
OSF375-370034 for 3.2G
I'll install it asap and post another summary on a per-needed basis.
Also some of the respondents suggested upgrading the firmware on the
RZ29B's (to minimum rev. 0016) which I will also do when possible.
