How to send a >RETURN< to a process ?

Hi Managers,

I'm trying to send a RETURN (ENTER) to a process as part of a routine
inside a shell script. I mean, when the process ask the operator to
issue a RETURN to continue some task, I want to trap that and send the
RETURN via script. Does anybody have any idea?
I'll summarize.
