We are trying to set up a primary and secondary DNS schema on two DEC
Alphas, the primary is running DU 3.0 and the secondary is running 4.0B.
All seems fine, except when we make a change to the primary, Kill HUP the
primary and than same for the secondary, the change does not seem to take
effect on the secondary for 5,10,15, sometimes 30 minutes. Why does it
take so long. It even takes this long if I stop and start the named
daemon on the secondary. This is not a crucial problem, I just thought
that as soon as the secondary received the kill -1 signal it re-read the
entinre primary database and updated its own records right away.
