Hi manager,
We are running OSF3.2c on DEC3000/700. Couple of remote printers have
been setup by using lprsetup command. The spool directory for each
printer is owned by daemon:
drwxrwxrwx 2 daemon daemon 8192 May 17 14:08 qms1
Now, we can print as a supper user. But the following error message shows
up when regular users print using lpr:
lpr: cannot chown /usr/spool/qms1/tfA015nevish
I changed the permition in /usr/spool/qms1 as:
drwxrwxrwx 2 daemon daemon 8192 May 17 14:08 ./
drwxr-xr-x 19 root system 8192 May 14 20:33 ../
-rw-rw-rwx 1 daemon daemon 4 May 17 14:08 .seq*
-rw-rw-rw- 1 daemon daemon 5 May 12 21:04 lock
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root daemon 0 May 14 12:48 log*
-rw-rw-rw- 1 daemon daemon 27 May 12 13:31 status
But still can not solve the problem. What do I missing here?
