I have an alpha 2100 running 3.2g. About every two weeks or so telnetd
gets into a state where it stops disconnecting users when they log out and
the processes go defunct and all the network ports fill up. I tried
setting the parameters in /etc/iptos to most reliable for telnet on the
assumption that this would give it a better chance of disconnecting
cleanly but that had little effect. Any idea?
