the problem was fixed by a complete doconfig with recreation of the
configuration file.

during boot of my DEC 3000/800 running 3.2G i get

ltaregister: couldn't register unit 0
atmconfig status driver=lta0 says
open /dev/atm_cmm: No such device
since the device file exists and is read/writeable i asume the device
driver is not configured correctly.
any hints ?
