I have setup sendmail 8.8.6 and to get it to work have needed to change
permissions on a couple of things. I was wondering what people usually
do for local delivery. I've got it setup using /bin/mail but have to
make it set uid to root and have /var/spool/mail rwxrwxrwt for it to
deliver local files. /bin/mail wasn't initialy setuid.
/usr/sbin/sendmail is set uid root and set gid mem (to access load
averages?). The entry in /etc/sendmail.cf is :
Mlocal, P=/bin/mail, F=lsDFMAw5:/|_at_qrmn9, S=10/30, R=20/40
How should I set it up?
Dave
