We got a factory installed V4.0B AlphaServer 800 5/400. Due to some complicate issue, we need to go back to 3.2G. So we went to DEC and got 3.2G CD. I figure I can just install over the existing system. So I followed the install instruction:
>>>set boot_osflags
>>>set boot_file
>>>set auto_action halt
and then I did "show dev" and "boot dka400".
The boot went good for a while, when it got to "jump to bootstrap code" it just sort of died, and went back to the >>> screen.
Is this the way to do this? What did I miss? Any help is appreciated.
