Apologies DEC managers but in my rush to get home last night I forgot
to include the definitive answer from johan M which goes something
     like this :-

     grep libsys5.so /usr/.smdb./*.inv

and this will tell you what subset the file belongs to. So the above
     command generates the following output

     /usr/.smdb./OSFSVID2410.inv:0 40960 34908 3 4 100644
     11/15/96
     410 f ./usr/opt/s5/usr/shlib/libsys5.so none
     OSFSVID2410
     /usr/.smdb./OSFSVID2410.inv:0 30 00000 0 0 120777
     11/18/96
     410 s ./usr/shlib/libsys5.so ../opt/s5/usr/shlib/libsys5.so
     OSFSVID2
     410

As you can see from the above, the subset is OSFVID2410.

Use the setld -l /cdrom/ALPHA/BASE command to load the corresponding
set (assuming /cdrom is your mount point).

Once again, apologies for any confusion caused
