HI ALL ,
I have always added entries for disks into the /sys/conf/NAME
file. I just added a disk to a 255/233 V4.0 , and noticed there
weren't any entries for ANY disks in there. I booted the box , and
all the disks show up just fine , even in all the GUIs .
Does the entry for the disks still serve any purpose or is it no
loger required for V4.0 + . Or is it hardware dependent eg: RAID .
