Question :
Firstly , I have a 2100A with two swxcr controllers ,
I want to add a third one . Is this possible or is there a limit .
Seondly , I want to move the existing swxcr controllers
and a scsi controller to other PCI slots , can I do this if
I boot from genvmunix and run sizer etc. and build a new kernel .
I do not want to have to restore the disks on the two
existing controllers .

Answer :
The limit is 4 on a 2100A
If you install swxcr controllers , install them up top of the
the slots with free ones below . The system scans from
top to bottom and allocates names eg: re0 to the first
controller it finds . My two controllers were at the bottom.
I moved my contollers up and installed the new one below them .
I then ran sizer -n FOO and installed the new lines in my
conf file and built a new kernel .
controller xcr0 at pci0 slot 7 vector xcrintr
----- ---
controller xcr0 at pci2000 slot 9 vector xcrintr
------- ---
There are two PCI buses . The primary (0) is the bottom 4 slots.
The secondary (2) is the top four .
Gotchas : The vga card seems like it has to be at the
very bottom slot . Moving it causes dummyspits .
When I used swxcrmgr to configure my new controller
I noticed that the new one was contoller 2 and my two old
ones where controllers 1 and 3 . ( Had been 1 & 2 )
I was very nearly caught out by presuming the new controller
would be 3 and went to create a new config on it .
P.S. All my data remained intact .
