Hello fellow Admins,
How do I configure rquotad (Remote quota server)? The man page is not very
helpful. There are several similar question within the alpha-osf-managers
archive but with no summaries.
For your information, here's a brief description of our systems. Our main
group server name 'pol1' (running DU V4.0D no patches) exports the
following file systems via automount to client workstations:
/local1/users                          /u/pol1a
/local2/users    -> automounted as ->  /u/pol1b  on clients
/local3/users                          /u/pol1c
 etc. etc.
The rquotad is running on the server and all clients workstations.
'rpcinfo' displays the rquotad program is registered by portmap:
-- cut --
$ rpcinfo -p
        /cut/
    100011    1   udp   1433  rquotad
        /cut/
$ quota
Disk quotas for user n.e.body (uid 1000): none
-- cut --
Any information on configuring rquotad will be very appreciated. We
currently launch a remote shell on our server; not ideal!
Summary to follow.
Regards,
Rich
