Good Morning -
I am required to have the banners portion of tcp wrappers on
my machines as of 28 August 1998. I am running SUNs with 4.1.x
and 2.x, SGIs running 4.0.5x and 5.x and DEC Alphas with DU 3.2
and DU 4.0. I have no problems with the SUNs and SGIs. I was
done early with them. The DECs are not working with banners
and I can not determine why. I have been able to re-compile
the code on my DU boxes, move the files to the appropriate
directories and done the kill -1 last on these machines. I
then test my machines and none are using the banners. Have any
of you been able to set up tcp wrappers on your DU boxes and
have the banners work? If so, please pass the knowledge to
me.
