We're on the process of upgrading our Unix version to 4.0B from 3.2B and
we encountered a problem on the kerberos, the authentication software
that we were using. When we try to invoke the command "kpasswd -n userid"
it only changes the kerberos password but it did not change the unix server
password unlike before when it was running on version 3.2B that it can
change both passwords. Are there any bugs on the kerberos software that
we should know of? Can we use the freeware kerberos (MIT Athena) for our
DEC Alpha? Does Digital has its own version of kerberos and is it
downloadable from the net?
