Hi,
I just attached two tape drives to my Alphastation 500/400 running DU V4.0,
      - 8mm drive: Exabyte 8500 (shows up as (EXABYTE EXB-8500-85Qanx0 0428))
      - 4mm drive: HP35480A (HP HP35480A 1009)
Neither works: they generate I/O error messages and the Exabyte also
generates a CAM SCSI error message (HARDWARE ERROR) when I try to access
them. I am wondering if I need new/modified entries in the ddr.dbase
file for these devices. One possible clue is that scu reports:
Warning: Inquiry (EXB-8500-85Qanx0) and system (EXB-8500) device names
are different.
Any ideas, hints, or experience with these devices?
