Digital UNIX managers,

I am in process of configuring an AlphaServer 8400 5/625, system has 4
CPUS, 4 GB memory, 4 HSZ70 loaded with 128 4.3gb. 2 Internal bus has five
     4.3 GB (1 for OS, 1 for OS mirror, 3 swapfiles??may be)

The application that is going to run on this platform is mainly Oracle 8/
PeopleSoft and about 450 interactive users (that hurts!)

All my expertise in configuring large systems/clusters are from OpenVMS.
I have configured few 4100s running Digital UNIX 4.0D --but not one with 4
GB memory. I would like to have opinion of folks that have configured large
     unix systems like this.

I have pretty good idea how to manage the storage on hsz70s, but I am not
so sure about the OS disk, swapspace etc.

     * How much swapspace should I allocate for 4GB memory (12GB!!!)
     * /var ..no ideas
     * What's the good way to utilize 3 remaining drives on the internal bus.
(2 drives will be used for OS+mirror)
     * Just for standard's sake, I was planning to have individual
       filesystems for /, /usr, /var, /opt, /tmp, /home --since standard's are
always open for improvements, I am all for new suggestions. I am also
planning to have ADVfs as filesystem (yes/no?).

     Any input is highly appreciated.
