Second, sorry for not making it clear this is a 2.0 system.
No sysconfig available! No documentation, only 3.2 OSF/1
manuals.
However, the suggestion for getting lsof did produce some
interesting results: More than half the files open were
held by Ingres processes (of which there are seven when
doing a ps aux). Gives us something to work on, including
giving the DBAs a hard time :^)
