I have recently purchased a Workstation 600au (Model-B3AAA-R6), with an ELSA
Gloria Synergy graphics controller. Not wanting to see this technology go to
waste I have swapped the EGS controller into my desktop Alphastation 255- not a
problem, but when I swapped my old PBXGA-AA/AN controller into the Workstation
600au and rebooted I got no response from the graphics port. I have hooked up an
old VT console to make sure all else is functioning O.K., the show config
command tells me that my console is graphics.
I have tried several suggestions I found in the archives but still get no
response from the graphics port. I have tried setting tga_sync_green to both 0
and 1, with and without the keyboard and mouse connected, but each time I boot
or init, this parameter disappears. I have checked the graphics card in a few
different slots with the same result.Some archives suggested an incompatability
with this board others suggest it is O.K., but nothing definitive. I have logged
a call with Compaq and am waiting for a response. I will summarize any answers I
receive.
Your advice or experiences in similar situations would be appreciated.
