General consensus was I need tcp/ip printing services, my nt admins assumed
that it was automagically running, they were wrong,
Under
        -add/delete windows components
-other network file and print services
There is an additional service called "Print services for Unix".
Once this was installed and running, I was able to print from my unix system
to the printer
attached to the w2k machine.

At one of our remote sites, we have a printer attached to a windows 2000 pc
that has been shared out, and
I need to print to it from our Tru64 systems, the entry in the printcap is
:
awy-dog-412|AWY-DOG-412|awy_dog_412|AWY_DOG_412:\
:lf=/var/log/lpd-errs:lp=:mx#0:rm=mc00066:rp=awy_dog_412:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpr/awy-dog-412:sf:sh:
the machine name is mc00066, which I can ping, and the printer is shared out
as awy_dog_412.
According to my unix queue, I get the following :
Fri Mar 22 11:29:05 2002: waiting for awy-dog-412 to come up
Is there additional configurations I need on the tru64 side.
Will summarize
Thanks
Darren
