Hi again,

On the weekend my unix machine got moved and hooked up to a new tape
device library and mdr.
I can see the tape devices, and controller and moved tapes around, etc.
However, I can only use one of the drives. (I have a MSL5000 series
library with four drives). Only the third one works. The rest give me
i/o errors when I try to put or remove data to/from the tapes. The
strange thing is that the windows machines can use all of the devices.
The can even use them using a windows shareware program called tapeio
(but tapeio sees drive 0 as drive3, etc).
Does anyone have any ideas? I took a look at the hwmgr output and I
don't see any problems right off the bat:
bash-2.04# /sbin/hwmgr view dev
