Summary: compiling sendmail 8.12.8

problem: sendmal 8.12.8 did not compile on Du4.0f

failed with
Can't locate file for: -ldbm
>*** Exit 1


fix:
I needed to add a different path for
cc to looking for the missing library

in the sendmail top tree directory, I did

Build -c -L /usr/ccs/lib

thanks to the fast help of Peyton Bland for
pointing me toward this solution
