Hello Managers,
I know this isn't strictly Tru64 related, but I'm sure some managers have
run into this problem. We operate a NIS network here, the master, slaves,
and clients are Tru64 machines. We even have a Network Appliance that
lives happily on the network. But placing a linux box is not as simple.
All our user's GIDs are defaulted to '15' ('users' on Tru64), on RH 9
Linux it is 'man'. What would be the best practice for integrating two
operating systems that have different philosophies on gid numbers?
Thanks for any insight.
