Hi. I want to install Storage Works Command Console agent on one of my machines
here (haven't decided which one, probably an ES40 running Tru64 5.1b,
stand-alone system). I talked to an HP guy about this and he mentioned that it
comes in the Platform Kit. I searched around here and found a disk "Compaq
Storageworks Enterprise/Modular Storage RAID Array Solution Software V8.7". It
wasn't in a box and had no paperwork with it. I popped it in the machine and it
seems to be SWCC version 520.
I'm wondering two things:
1.) Is this the most current version to install, and will it work OK on a 5.1b
(patchkit 2) system connected to HSG80 controllers? If it's not the current
version, do I have to order it, or can I just download it somewhere?
and
2.) I can't find any documentation about how to install/configure this (there
is nothing on the disk other than the software, and I searched through the
mailing list archives and HP's site, all to no avail). If someone could point
me to a link, that would be great.
I could just call HP back, but I think this would be faster. Thanks in advance.
