AlphaServer GS320 system delivers record-breaking TPC-C results with Oracle9i Database Enterprise Edition

An AlphaServer GS320 system running Tru64 UNIX and Oracle9i Database Enterprise Edition achieved a record-breaking 230,533 tpmC (transactions per minute) in the industry-standard TPC-C benchmark.

The TPC-C benchmark is the most common commercial benchmark in use today. Although far from perfect, it provides a demonstration of the performance characteristics of a database working in a transactional environment.
