Before You Install This Kit, Read the Following Instructions

Check if a newer kit is available on our software download web page. We expect to provide updates to this initial production release, and we recommend that you install the latest update.
Verify that you understand the Copyright statement and License agreement before using this release.
Review the SDK v 1.4.2 Release Notes for New Features, Fixed Problems, and Installation Instructions, and the User Guide for "Getting started," "Setting up the Java environment," "Troubleshooting," and other information.

Note: On OpenVMS systems, there are some real differences running the SDK that could trip you up! Please read Known Issues in the Release Notes, and "Interpreting commands and OpenVMS Operating System differences" and the following topics in the User Guide, for critical usage information that will save you time and effort:

Note: The SDK has a minimum required value for Pgflquota: 196608 blocks (96 MB) for Alpha, and 512000 pagelets (250MB) for Integrity (I64). For more information, see "Setting process quotas for better performance on OpenVMS" in the User Guide.
