HP is pleased to announce that the HP OpenVMS Version 8.3 Software Developer's Kit (SDK) will be available for purchase in March 2006.
The OpenVMS 8.3 SDK kit contains a pre-production release of the OpenVMS 8.3 Alpha operating system and the OpenVMS 8.3 for Integrity Server systems operating system, accompanied by many layered
products that have been updated for this release. Note that this preliminary version is provided for evaluation purposes only and is not intended for use on production systems.
OpenVMS Version 8.3 introduces support for the newest Integrity servers: new entry level, mid-range, and high-end systems including Superdome. All these new systems are based on the latest generation
of industry-standard Intel® Itanium® 2 processors. OpenVMS Version 8.3 continues to support all Integrity servers and options supported in OpenVMS Versions 8.2 and 8.2-1.
This release includes

- Performance and scalability enhancements
- Updated security and standards
- Enhanced Adaptive Enterprise support.
