HP and Legato relationship
Legato Software, a division of EMC, and HP have been enjoying a long-standing business and technology relationship since Digital became an OEM of NetWorker for Ultrix. Later, HP and Legato worked to provide solutions for OSF/1 (Digital/Tru64 UNIX) and Microsoft Windows NT on AlphaServer systems. Since then, Legato has been strengthening its relationship with HP by moving into more advanced levels of technology, services, and distribution, encompassing industry-leading solutions in content and messaging, availability, and information protection applications.

Itanium commitment
Legato Software's NetWorker product roadmap supports the migration and redeployment of legacy systems—the backbone of any organization—from VAX, to Alpha, to Itanium. To this end, development efforts for Itanium support are already under way. Plans call for Legato NetWorker and Networker OpenVMS Client and Storage Node to support Itanium.
