Windows NT and OpenVMS on same system?

» close window

The Question is:

If I have an Alpha running open VMS can I swap it out for the NT operating
system in the future? What are my limitations (Alpha models ect.)

The Answer is :

Alpha PCI- and EISA-bus based systems running OpenVMS can generally
be switched over to Windows NT. This includes the DEC 2000 series
(also known as the DECpc AXP 150 series), the AlphaStation series,
  and the Personal Workstation series.

You will need to confirm that the installed I/O hardware controllers
and devices are supported by both operating systems.

For specific information on Windows NT support, please see the
Microsoft Windows NT Hardware Compatibility List (HCL).
