The Question is: I work in a computer lab at my university and we are having a problem with massive amounts of paper being wasted because of blank pages being sent out of the printer when we issue a print command. Whenever someone sends something to the printer, three ex tra pages of information are sent; a blank page, a page header (containing job number and such), then the message comes out, followed by yet another blank page. As you can imagine, this is a huge waste of paper and we are desperately seeking ways to fix the problem. We are printing to HP LaserJet4 printers and have tried using the /noburst, /nofeed, and every other command we can think of, but nothing seems to solve this problem. Aaron Auman Utah State University The Answer is : Please see the existing discussions around suppressing blank pages here in Ask The Wizard. The Wizard suspects this may be related to the HP printer reset module that has been discussed here before. If the reset module does not clear the problem, please contact the customer support center, and expect to be asked for the current queue settings and for information on anything relevent contained within the device control library (if one is in use) on the specified queue. Also expect to be asked for information on whether or not you are sending Postscript (DCPS is the prefered interface for Postscript), as well as various other information. Please remember to use the available search engine to locate these and other previous discussions.
