The Question is:

 
Where do I find prior-version  o/s product support information on layered
products?  In other words, I'm trying to find out if my installed products
will be compatible with V7.1 on VAX and Alpha.
 
 

The Answer is :

 
  Please see "MGMT18. Do I have to update layered products when updating
  OpenVMS?", present in the OpenVMS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), as
  a start.  These are the versions that are tested and supported.
 
  Information on older versions is generally not available -- the general
  testing of older layered product versions with newer OpenVMS versions
  would exponentially increase the testing requirements.
 
  Information on Prior Version Support and other software support issues
  are available from the http://www.service.digital.com/ area, and more
