PATHWORKS client for Windows 2000?

» close window

The Question is:

How can I get my Windows 2000 (NT V5.0 Beta 1) system to access the shares
from my OpenVMS V7.2 Pathworks V6.0B system please ? I have tried to
install Pathworks 32 V7.1A, but it will not install. At the moment I get
told that I havn't a licence. Is th
ere a new version of pathworks, a beta would be fine, that I can use yet.

The Answer is :

Please read the PATHWORKS 32 Software Product Description (SPD) for
the supported Microsoft operating systems. The V7.1A SPD presently
available (in February 1999) indicates the following are supported:

    	Windows 95
    	Windows 98
    	Windows NT V4.0

Access to OpenVMS V7.2 PATHWORKS V6.0B from a PC is possible without
installing PATHWORKS 32. Please see the Server documentation on
  licensing, or visit http://www.openvms.digital.com/pathworks/.

The OpenVMS Wizard would tend to expect PATHWORKS (Advanced Server)
support for future releases of the core Microsoft operating system(s)
to become available near or at some unspecified time after the official
  release of the Microsoft product.
