PrintServer printers and VAXeln?

The Question is:

 
I have Printserver 17/20/32's that report they
are running VAXELN 4.5.  Do they really run
VAXELN 4.5 or is this some sort of subset built
into the firmware?  If its not firmware then
where does it come from? The printserver download
software?

The Answer is :

 
  Various PrintServer printing systems are based on Q-bus VAX
  processors running VAXeln-based software images.
 
  VAXeln application images can be loaded (bootstrapped) from
  a variety of sources -- discussions of VAXeln operations and
  of the internal operations of PrintServers in general are
  outside the usual purview of the OpenVMS Wizard.
