Recovering from RMS bucket format check failure?

The Question is:

 
I am getting a Bucket format check failure at VBN 8592.  I can only see
about 5% of my data from the file.  Is there any way of recovering the rest
of the file?

The Answer is :

 
  The OpenVMS Wizard will assume that backups are not available.
  Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center for assistance,
  as this will require information on the file format as well as the
  particulars of the failing bucket.
