X.29 hangs via DEMSA?

» close window

The Question is:

Hi there,

We have an AlphaServer cluster with four ES40s and two 4100's. It is
running
OpenVMS version 7.2-1 & DECnet OSI version 7.2-1. When we make an x29 call
through a DEMSA it hangs, but only approximately every other time. Below is

copy of what happens, when it hangs we have to ^P and clear the PAD.

It happens no matter what account we log in under. When a layered product
process is running (sysx29) it picks up all x29 calls that come into the
system
and attaches them to our application. It works fine when using this method.

A different subaddress is used to distinguish between accessing the
application and the VMS access.
