The Question is:

Can I use my HP deskjet printer 890c to assign a LAT port with server 06 and
port 4 to print from my alpha system? but my HP deskjet printer has only
pararell port, what kind of adapter device to use on the pararell port? What
is the procedure to setup? t
hank you very much for your comment?

The Answer is :

If your printer has a parallel port, you cannot connect this (directly)
to a serial port -- most OpenVMS host systems and most DECserver devices
provide serial ports, not parallel. (There are a few devices that offer
  a parallel port.)

The (older) DECserver 250 and the RapidPrint 200 devices offer(ed)
  network-based parallel port connections.

Various HP printers offer JetDirect and similar network interface cards
(NICs), and these can be used in place of the parallel port.

The OpenVMS Wizard is not particularly familiar with parallel-serial
adapters, with HP NICs, nor with current network-based options.

Various Alpha systems do offer parallel ports, which may or may not
operate with this particular printing device.

The typical solution recommended by the OpenVMS Wizard -- for various
reasons, including simplicity -- is a printer-based NIC.
