Installing OpenVMS?

The Question is:

I have a Digital Personal Workstation 500a that has both VMS and UNIX loaded.
At the moment it boots up in UNIX. What do I do to boot up in VMS?

The Answer is :

You will require a spare disk, and you will have to switch the SRM
console OS_TYPE value over to "VMS" or "OpenVMS" and power-cycle
  the system.

Instructions on installing OpenVMS Alpha on the Personal Workstation
-au series and on other Alpha systems is included in the OpenVMS
installation documentation. Please see the references in the OpenVMS
FAQ for pointers to the on-line copies of the OpenVMS documentation.

Note: Neither OpenVMS nor Tru64 UNIX is supported on the Personal
Workstation -a series systems -- these systems target(ed) Windows NT
support only. These systems may or may not have configurations
containing hardware supported by OpenVMS (or Tru64 UNIX).
