Releasing delete-pending sections?

The Question is:

 
If I issue an $install list/glob command I see a list of global sections that
 are in a delete pending state. How do I delete these items without rebooting,
 please?

The Answer is :

 
  By rebooting, or by clearing off all current accessors.
 
  As there is usually little penalty for configuring extra global
  sections, the OpenVMS Wizard will normally "overconfigure" the
