Seeking drivers for HP Printers?

The Question is:

 
Our Programmers have purchased several HP printers, namely the models HP8100,
 HP4050, and HP4000.  Do these printers require a device specific driver to be
 used in the OpenVMS Alpha system?  I have been unable to find out whether or
 not this statement is
true.

  Please see the existing discussions of LPR/LPD (topic 1020 would be a
