keyboard and mouse hardware replacement?

The Question is:

I am looking for a replacement mouse for a VAX/VMS workstation model VS46K-AD.
Can you help? The original mouse is a three button type.

The Answer is :

Please contact your hardware support organization or Compaq Services
for assistance -- while the OpenVMS Wizard has an ample supply of old
(and fully functional) mice hanging from the office wall, the Wizard
is not in a position to part with any of these rodents.

The VS46K part number is associated with the VAXstation 4000 model 60
series workstation. This system uses the older DIN connection for the
mouse and the older RJ-series connection for the LK-series keyboard.

In cases such as this, the model number on the mouse itself is of more
interest than the system itself, though the mouse can be back-determined
from the system. Older mice are typically VSXXX series (eg: VSXXX-AA
"hockey puck" or VSXXX-GA), and use DIN connection wiring and DIN
connection signaling that are not compatible with the connectors and
protocol used on the IBM PS/2 and various compatible systems -- most
VAXstation systems and various early-generation Alpha systems will use
peripheral interfaces that pre-date the IBM PS/2.

Please see the OpenVMS FAQ for additional details on the compatibility
  of keyboard and mice.

Again, please contact your hardware support organization, or contact
Compaq Services, or contact a surplus- or used-equipment vendor.
